Data is all the rage these days. Big data has changed how firms spot trends, make sense of user behavior, and pinpoint value creation opportunities. Think about how GPS technology, for instance, can reveal user locations and make possible a seemingly endless array of new inventions and value propositions – from Google maps to Uber to localized news.

Social service organizations, by contrast, know very little about their users’ lives. Data collection and data quality is poor.  Much of the data stagnates in paper files. Come learn about new ways of conceptualizing data, and how to build sector capacity to collect, analyze, and use quality data in decision-making.
